Video icon on product grid that opens YouTube/Vimeo in popup
Hello,
Please consider to add an optional video/play icon on each product card (archive/grid).
If a product has a video URL (YouTube or Vimeo), clicking the icon should open the video in a popup/modal without leaving the listing page. The regular click on the image/title should keep leading to the product page as usual.
Good for:
- Faster product discovery and higher engagement from listing pages
- Great for cosmetics, fashion, gadgets—where short videos drive conversions
- Reduces back-and-forth navigation
Show a small play icon in the card’s top-right (near wishlist/quick view), or centered on hover (theme option).
If no video URL is set → hide the icon.
Support YouTube + Vimeo (oEmbed or embed URL),mp4.
Settings:
Toggle: “Show video icon on product cards”
Position: Top-right / Center on hover
Providers allowed: YouTube, Vimeo, mp4
Prevent default navigation when clicking the icon; keep standard click behavior elsewhere on the card.
