Return Management System (RMA)
While Woodmart comes packed with powerful features, one important piece is still missing, a built-in order return management system.
It's time customers had the ability to request a return or refund directly from their Order History section under My Account. This would make the entire process smoother, more transparent, and free from the delays or awkwardness that can come with manual handling.
An ideal return tool should include (but not be limited to) the following features:
1. Return window control – Set a specific number of days within which returns are allowed.
2. Exchange option – Allow customers to choose between a refund or a product exchange.
3. Return shipping flexibility – Choose whether returns are:
Paid by the customer
Free
Or refunded/deducted later
4. Non-returnable product handling – Easily exclude certain products from returns, using a custom WooCommerce attribute to define return policy per item.
5. Custom return form – Collect relevant information from the customer (e.g., reason, photos, packaging status, etc.).
6. Approval workflow – Approve or reject return requests from the admin dashboard, keeping everything documented and streamlined.
7. Expand the RMA tool also to double up as warranty claiming tool (with data from custom attribute on warranty period).
