PDF invoices and packing slips
It would be very useful if customers would receive a PDF invoice and packing slip. Please add functionality to send a nice looking PDF to the customer, when the order status is changed to completed.
Optimally there would be settings for what to display in the PDF and for which status it would be sent.

I think that similar functionality would be really nice to have in Woodmart.

Developing native PDF invoice functionality is not a practical or strategic direction for the developers of the WoodMart eCommerce WordPress theme. Invoicing is a legally regulated process in many countries, often governed by strict requirements related to tax compliance, document retention, digital signatures, and standardized formats. For example, within the EU and other regions, businesses are required to issue invoices that comply with formats like UBL (Universal Business Language) or ZUGFeRD. Importantly, UBL is not a single universal format — its implementation varies between countries (e.g., Peppol BIS in Belgium, Faktur-X in Germany, FatturaPA in Italy), each with its own structure, rules, and compliance requirements. Supporting all these standards would require deep legal expertise and constant updates to reflect evolving tax legislation across multiple jurisdictions. Additionally, the needs for invoicing vary greatly depending on the business model (B2B vs B2C), regional VAT rules, required invoice metadata, credit note workflows, and whether invoices need to be archived or digitally signed. These complex and critical aspects are best handled by specialized invoicing plugins, which are actively maintained by developers focused specifically on tax and accounting compliance. Even if we were to build our own basic invoice functionality, it would still fall far short of the extensive features, reliability, and compliance offered by existing popular solutions — many of which are free. As such, we wouldn’t be delivering real value to users, and would instead be duplicating efforts that are already solved more effectively by others.
