Native MCP Server Integration for Theme Management & Customization
I would like to propose the integration of an MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server directly into the WoodMart theme. With the rise of AI agents and tools like OpenClaw, Claude Desktop, and others, managing complex themes via LLMs is becoming a standard workflow for developers. Having a native MCP server would allow AI agents to securely "understand" and interact with WoodMart’s extensive ecosystem.Key Functionalities for the MCP Server:Theme Settings Control: Ability for an agent to read and modify WoodMart Theme Settings (e.g., changing colors, typography, or header layouts) via API calls.Layout & Header Builder Access: Providing the agent with the schema of the Header and Layout builders to suggest or apply changes.Product & Content Management: Streamlined hooks for agents to manage WooCommerce products or WoodMart-specific custom post types (HTML Blocks, Sidebars).CSS/JS Customization: A safe way for AI to inject or modify custom CSS/JS within the theme's designated areas.Technical Support & Documentation Context: Serving theme-specific documentation snippets to the agent for better troubleshooting. Why this is important:WoodMart is one of the most powerful and feature-rich themes on the market. However, its complexity means that manual configuration takes time. By supporting the MCP protocol, WoodMart would become the first "AI-ready" premium theme, allowing developers to build and style shops significantly faster using natural language through AI agents. This integration would position WoodMart as a forward-thinking leader in the WordPress ecosystem, catering to the growing community of AI-assisted developers and site builders.
