Move your WoodMart MCP to WordPress' default AI MCP for better integration
Pending
For instance, Gravity Forms did not create their own MCP, they use default WordPress AI MCP to benefit from native integration. https://docs.gravityforms.com/connecting-to-the-mcp-server/
Hi Simon, thanks for the suggestion! WoodMart MCP already works this way. The plugin doesn't ship its own MCP server: it registers its tools through the native WordPress Abilities API and exposes them via the official WordPress MCP Adapter. The connection goes to the adapter's default server (/wp-json/mcp/mcp-adapter-default-server) using the standard @automattic/mcp-wordpress-remote client and a WordPress Application Password. Gravity Forms is built on the same stack. The only difference is that they register a separate named endpoint (/wp-json/mcp/gravityforms), while we use the WordPress default one, so WoodMart abilities sit alongside abilities from any other plugin on the same server. The "WoodMart MCP" plugin name may be a bit misleading here: it is a set of WoodMart abilities plus a setup screen, not a standalone MCP implementation. Kind Regards
