Further Development of the Blog Section

WoodMart has evolved significantly over the years and has become one of the most powerful and feature-rich WordPress themes available. The variety of tools, customization options, and especially its strong eCommerce capabilities are among its biggest strengths. However, I believe the Blog section still has significant potential for further development. While the existing features are useful, the Blog experience could benefit from more attention and continued innovation in future updates. A stronger and more modern Blog system could make WoodMart more appealing not only to eCommerce websites, but also to a much broader range of websites, including content-driven websites, magazines, news platforms, publishers, portfolios, corporate websites, and personal websites. In other words, investing more in the Blog section could help expand WoodMart's overall audience and make the theme a more complete solution for a wider variety of websites, rather than being perceived primarily as an eCommerce-focused theme. WoodMart already has a very strong foundation. I believe giving the Blog section more attention in upcoming updates could be an important step toward making the theme even more versatile, competitive, and widely applicable.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate it! To better understand your idea, could you share which features you're missing the most? For instance, would it be tools that keep readers engaged, like a reading progress bar and smarter related posts, or layout builder for blog archive loop items? The more details you can give, the easier it will be for us to plan. Kind regards

Thank you for asking. I think both areas are important, but after looking at some leading content-focused themes such as Newspaper, I think there is a much bigger opportunity here than simply adding a few individual features. What I would most like to see in WoodMart is a more complete and flexible Blog and Publishing system. For example, Newspaper has taken the approach of making almost every part of a content website customizable, from Single Post, Category, Author and Search pages to different content presentation sections. It also provides a large library of ready-made layouts and sections that can be imported and customized. I think WoodMart could move in a similar direction and give the Blog the same level of attention and flexibility that it already provides for WooCommerce. In particular, I would love to see: - Much more diverse and modern layouts for Blog, Magazine and Archive pages - A powerful visual builder for designing blog loop items and post cards - More flexibility for Single Post, Category, Author and Search templates - More ready-made Blog, Magazine and Editorial templates in the WoodMart Library - More advanced Featured Content, Post Grid, Slider and Dynamic Content Blocks - Better tools for content discovery and user engagement - More options for presenting post metadata and content details - A more complete publishing system rather than relying mainly on the standard WordPress Posts structure I also think that creating a smarter connection between the Blog and WooCommerce could be a major differentiator for WoodMart. For example, being able to display products related to the content of a blog post, recommend products based on the topic of an article, or create other dynamic and interactive connections between blog content and the store. Features like these could create a meaningful gap between WoodMart and its competitors, because one of WoodMart's biggest strengths is that it already has both a powerful eCommerce system and a strong foundation for content. Bringing these two sides together in a smarter way could create a much more unique experience. I think this could be a major opportunity for WoodMart. The theme already has a very strong foundation, and bringing the Blog and Publishing side to the same level of depth and flexibility as the eCommerce side could significantly expand its audience. It would make WoodMart much more attractive not only for online stores, but also for magazines, news websites, publishers, corporate websites, content platforms and other content-heavy projects. So my main request is not simply “add a reading progress bar” or “add smarter related posts.” Those would certainly be useful, but I would much rather see a next-generation Blog ecosystem with the same depth, flexibility and attention to detail that WoodMart has already achieved on the eCommerce side.
