Dynamic Product Comparison via URL GET Parameters

Hello Team,I am writing to suggest a high-value improvement for the Product Compare feature.Current Limitation: Currently, the comparison table relies exclusively on browser cookies. While this works for individual users, it makes it impossible for store owners to share a "preset comparison" link via newsletters, marketing campaigns, or "Related Products" sections.The Proposal: I would like the comparison functionality to support URL GET parameters (e.g., ?compare_ids=123,456,789). When these parameters are present in the URL, the comparison page should automatically fetch and display these specific products, bypassing the existing cookie data.Key Use Cases:Marketing & Campaigns: Sharing a link like mysite.com/compare/?ids=101,105 in an email to help customers choose between two specific models.Product Pages: Adding a "Compare with similar models" button on a product page that links directly to a comparison of that product and its top competitors.Customer Support: Allowing support agents to send pre-built comparison tables to customers to facilitate a sale.Thanks for your great theme !
